Enter through the front door of the Ventura Aquatic Center. All Practices are currently scheduled at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Make sure your athlete has a competition-style suit, goggles, and a cap or hair tie if needed. We often do dryland before we hop in. Please send athletes in comfortable clothes with their suits underneath. 

Practice Schedule Summer 2024

Splashball for Beginning Athletes under 8 – Monday/ Wednesday 6:30 PM – 7:15 PM

10 and Under Boys and 10 Under Girls – (Competition and Competition Prep groups)

Monday/ Wednesday 6:15 PM – 7:45 PM – 10U Comp Group Tuesday 5:15 PM – 6:00PM (Competition Pool)

*June 17 – July 17 Time Change – Monday/ Wednesday 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM – 10U Comp Group Tuesday 5:00 PM – 6:00PM

Junior Olympic Information* 

*Travel tournaments will be optional and will have a fee. 

Players and families may sign up for the program they feel best fits their player’s ability; however, final placement on teams and in practice groups will be at the coach’s and technical director’s discretion based on the team or practice squad that they feel is most appropriate for that player’s long-term development. Additionally, players may be placed above or below their current age group based on this evaluation and their ability.

REMINDERS: 

  • Every athlete must be registered with USA Water Polo Insurance www.usawaterpolo.org. We are Club #10. Each athlete needs at least a Bronze Level for insurance. (most travel tournaments require silver level and any national levels including Junior Olympics require Gold Level.) There is no-cost 2-week trial insurance available. 
  • Gold Coast Aquatics is an approved Independent Study PE option. Please email Mike or Mary if you need documents to support this.
